CAN U Explore Australia
With the CAN U Explore Australia series, students can explore past and present images of Australia in adventurously diverse ways. Each resource can be used as a workbook to initiate discussion and guide students to value the opinions of others, to investigate many answers using the CAN U CARDS and to listen to and follow instructions.
The full-page illustrations provide a visual context for written information and a further springboard for exploration and creative activities. Through this series teachers also have the scope to develop their own questions to meet the specific needs of their students.
Each book in this series:
- complements the learning and teaching of Australian history
- may be used flexibly across wide age and ability bands
- presents pictorial and written information in topic areas to engage students at an appropriate learning level
- contains 10 CAN U CARDS (with suggested answers) to develop understanding of and encourage reflection on Australian history, geography and culture.

About the Author
Jason Novosel
Jason began teaching in 1998 in a private secondary school in Queensland before transitioning to the state secondary system as acting Head of Department English. Having gathered an array of teaching experiences and qualifications along the way, he has now launched his own training and consultancy to pursue his passion for adult education. Jason has developed training and assessment units and has sat on district panels for curriculum subject development in Queensland. Jason shares his creative flair for designing educational materials with his mother and co- author, Pauleen.
