Wild, Wild Weather Cover

Wild, Wild Weather

This book paints a vivid picture of some of the extremes people and environments face in different parts of the world. In exploring natural disasters ranging from floods to droughts to blizzards, it introduces both their causes and their effects in a clear and accessible way. Importantly too, it seeks to empower the reader with information on how to prepare for such destructive weather and what we can do to reduce its impact.

Wild, Wild Weather in the Story Seekers programme is written for older students reading below the expected level. Each book is carefully designed and levelled to appeal to reluctant readers, while improving their literacy skills. With well-considered text, high quality images and associated literacy activities, the readers can be used in a guided reading setting, as independent readers, or ESOL support resources. Every title in the collection is dyslexia-friendly.
